With Twangfest 16 just around the corner, we’ve got a bunch of updates.

Tickets are on sale now for all four nights. We are expecting great crowds so be sure to get your tickets in advance. Note that you can save on Ticketmaster fees by purchasing tickets, in person, at Blueberry Hill for June 7, 8 and 9 during regular business hours. Shows at Duck Room are 21+ but the Schlafly Tap Room show on June 6 with Pokey LaFarge is an all-ages event.

Twangfest Friends Packs are still available. Get one now and you’ll get guaranteed admission to all four nights, a T-shirt, poster and an invite to the special house concert with John Doe on Saturday afternoon!

RSVP on Facebook and let all your friends know you’re coming!

Our sponsors Vintage Vinyl and Euclid Records are presenting two in-stores with Twangfest 16 performing artists: Kelly Hogan appears at Vintage Vinyl on June 7 at 6 p.m. and Ha Ha Tonka appears at Euclid Records on June 8 at 5 p.m.

Our first ever Twangspin takes place at the Royale (3132 South Kingshighway Boulevard) on Saturday, June 2. Seven 88.1 KDHX DJs (and a guest Twang Gang member) will be spinning all manner of Twangfest-friendly music out on the patio. Spin starts at 6 p.m. and is all ages — and free! It’s a great way to kick off the Twangfest week, so come on out and have some great food and drinks at one of the friendliest bars in town.

Our sponsor, presenter and beloved benefactor, 88.1 KDHX, has been running some great pre-Twangfest interviews online. Catch up with Langhorne Slim, Pokey LaFarge, Kelly Hogan, Chuck Cleaver and Lisa Walker of Wussy and Justin Wade Tam of Humming House at KDHX.org.

Finally, stay tuned for the Twangfest eBay auction. We’ll have hundreds of amazing music related items — including LPs, posters, CDs and lots of rare and hard-to-find stuff — all up for the bidding, starting Monday, June 4. All proceeds benefit 88.1 KDHX and Twangfest.

Twangfest 16. It’s almost here!
